SmartCap – Connected Health
Challenge
Traditional disposable drug injection pens do not provide any data about injection time and dosage. Valtronic developed the SmartCap, which allows to transform such pens into smart devices.
What’s the SmartCap?
It is a cap that can fit on any disposable injection pen and provides the following data:
- Precise dose injected
- Date and time of injection
- Ambient temperature to confirm that the drug has not degraded prior to injection due to improper handling
- Connection to an App for accurate data information storage and sharing with caretakers and doctors.
